Divine Unity Step Show at Longwood

In January 2012 I was asked by representitives of the NPHC (http://www.longwoodnphc.com/home) to create a reminder, followed by a poster, for their annual step show that is held at Longwood University. The idea was to show a representitive from each of the Divine Nine walking toward the NPHC logo.

I treated this reminder as a preview to the poster that I would later create. I planned to add many more mountains to create a mountain range, with the NPHC mountain being the most prominent mountain. I also was going to add words made out of clouds that represented the morals and values of the Divine Nine such as brotherhood, sisterhood, etc. The clients have come to me  since this design and ask that I create a brand for the step show at Longwood that can be used every year. So, as of now this will unfortunetly not see the light of day...But to brand a program that will be used every year is simply to exciting to pass up!

I created this reminder in Adobe Photoshop with a brief stop in Adobe Illustrator to create the individuals you see walking on the path. I went back to my roots of image manipulation and created the NPHC logo out of a rock texture. Overall I was very happy how this turned out...I even printed one out and have put it up on my wall of designs.
