Last Greek Standing

A flyer was originally designed for this step show that was black, white, and other shades of grey, but it lacked the pop that they wanted. One of the event organizers for Last Greek Standing was having a conversation with me about the flyer, and I offered to help. There was poster created for the previous years event that was vibrant and and grungy and I decided to follow that style.

The NPHC logo in the middle is the official NPHC logo and I claim no rights to it. If you would like to learn more about NPHC organizations, check out their website. 

This poster was created entirely in Photoshop. This was originally going to be an 17 by 11 poster, and thus I made it to scale with a ppi of 300 for maximum clarity as this was only going to be shown in print. This flyer was made with a series of grunge metal fonts, and grunge texture pack for the background to reflect the nature of just getting down to step. Also, each of the Divine Nine NPHC organizations are represented by their letters on either side of the NPHC logo.

As I said before, my main objective was to create something that would pop, something much different from the other flyer's and posters that were seen on the campus at Longwood University and make students stop and grab their attention. This poster did such a great job of getting attention that I have been commissioned to create next years advertisements half a year before the event.
